Once upon a time, Nathan gathered up some of his friends in one central location so they could all get to know each other and talk about whatever they wished.
That purpose expanded somewhat as older people left and newer people joined (for whatever reason), now it is just a channel for anyone to talk about geeky things.
#GayGeeks does not belong to any one person (except that one person does maintain the site and pay the bills, it stops there). It belongs to everyone. Everyone has a say in how the channel is run.
Just so you're aware, we have nothing to do with gaygeeks.org or any other #gaygeeks on any other IRC network. This channel is operated completely independently of any other channel anywhere else.
